Is now a good time to sell my house?

This is a really personal decision to make. Believe it or not but there are pros to selling your house right now as well as more obvious cons. Recently we have assisted several sellers who were in the middle of transactions and we have gained some valuable insights into what it’s going to take to sell/buy a home in this new reality. Technology is key, virtual open houses, paperless transactions, and calls/emails rather than face-to-face meetings are all new ways we are approaching our business now. 

Spring is usually our busiest season and even with the horrific events that are going on, we are getting calls, people are requesting appointments and the traffic on our website is busier than ever. 

The new reality is that people are spending as much as 20% more time on the internet, Facebook is experiencing record usage, and online sales are up 30%. Mortgage rates are low and are forecasted to stay that way. Should the market slump, it has been suggested that buying now rather than waiting for the market rebound might make more sense for those people who were already poised to sell. The one thing that hasn’t changed, the Toronto market still has a low supply of homes. All of these things suggest that it may be a good time to sell, especially if that was already your plan.

Keeping our clients and staff safe is our number one priority. We have developed new strategies so that we can show homes in their best light while keeping everyone safe.
