Humber Valley is one of Etobicoke's most affluent communities, with private as well as public schools and premium golf courses. It includes several sought after residential areas, Lincoln Woods Court, North Drive, Valecrest Drive, Edgehill Road, and the Greens of St. Georges. The triangular quadrant north of Dundas is known as Chestnut Hills, an exclusive enclave with both older and beautifully constructed newer homes. The area surrounding Edenbridge, on the west side of Royal York is known as Lincoln Woods/Edenbridge. Lincoln Woods and Valecrest Drive are two street so unique in character, with beautiful homes and custom designs, that each has become its own neighbourood.
This is a community defined by large, beautiful homes, parks and stunning geography. There are 5 golf courses on every side, as well as green spaces that surround the Humber River.
The area was originally part of a 1930's development known as the "Humber Valley Surveys". Today it's known for stately homes on large, landscaped lots and distinctive tree lined streets. Homes were built here from the 1930s to the 1960s, representing a broad range of architectural styles from Colonial, Tudor, and Georgian, to modernist and contemporary.
