As the nights cool down and the leaves start to turn we feel autumn setting in. Fall is here offering us a great opportunity to embrace the change in the seasons. Pumpkin spice and plaid blankets are just the beginning. Here are some new, fresh ideas to update your home for the fall season in 2023.

Colour Palettes: While traditionally we think of red and orange as fall colours this season designers are talking about adding more neutral palettes to your colour schemes. Incorporating chocolate browns, moss greens and caramel colours can add to your traditional fall colour palettes. Really looking to update your replace the traditional colours altogether.

Accessories: Updating your pillow covers, throws and even rugs can be a relatively inexpensive way to freshen up your home for fall.

🍂If sustainability is important to you designers suggest using fabrics like velvet, cashmere and wool will last well beyond this one season. Not only are these fabrics more eco-friendly but investing in pieces that you will use over and over again is a good investment.

🍂Using more neutral colours will also stand the test of time, making those pieces more eco-friendly as you can reuse them year after year.

🍂Geometric patterns and details are a big trend this season too. Whether it’s a 60s vibe or a traditional fall theme on repeat, geometric patterns are really big this season.

🍂Coloured glassware is another inexpensive way to update your dinner table this fall. 🍂Adding some texture to the glasses is a huge trend too. This is a fresh new trend inspired from the past.

Return To Formal
As we move past the pandemic and return to entertaining, more formal spaces are being celebrated again. Whether it’s updating your dining room suite or simply buying some new dishes, table runners, mats, and festive napkin rings, a more formal setting is a big trend for fall 2023.

Whether you’re rummaging through your attic, a local thrift store or shopping online Fall 2023 is a great time to embrace some new design trends while reaching back in time and thinking forward with sustainability in mind. Happy decorating!
