The Dorothy Ley Hospice is an organization that is close to my heart.They support the community with much needed hospice palliative care, grief and bereavement support. There is support available to individuals and families to live well through serious illness, end of life and loss.
The Dorothy Ley Hospice offers services for people who are suffering from serious illness, and also for their families and caregivers. They have a residence that offers a home-like setting for care during the final weeks of life and groups and one-on-one support for those coping with grief and loss.
The hospice started 35 years as an ambitious desire of a small group of committed community members to provide compassionate end-of-life care to members of the community. They’ve grown into an award-winning, not-for-profit community and residential palliative care and bereavement support organization.
At last count the Dorothy Ley Hospice has supported over 1,000 individuals with care in their homes. 87% say they are better equipped to cope with their grief and over 3,000 people have been able to attend group and individual grief sessions.

Tickets are $100 per person.
