Centennial Park

The neighbourhood of Centennial Park is nestled between Highway 427 and the Etobicoke River Valley, south of Highway 401 and Pearson International Airport. The community benefits from residents with a wide range of cultural backgrounds who enjoy the area’s many parklands, its convenient access to shopping, services, and recreation, and an excellent selection of public and separate schools.

Motorists have convenient access to Highway 427, Pearson International Airport, downtown Toronto as well as Mississauga. TTC bus service along The West Mall connects to the Bloor-Danforth subway, GO Transit, the Pearson Airport express bus service and Mississauga Transit.

Beautiful Centennial Park is reason enough to want to live in the neighbourhood. Built on what once was a dairy farm, families, couples and singles enjoy almost every sport imaginable within the over 5,000 acres of parkland, from downhill skiing to fishing.

The park is home to the Etobicoke Olympium, Centennial Park Ski Hill and Chalet, Centennial Arena, Centennial Park Conservatory and Centennial Park Stadium. There is a ski hill, toboggan hill, public golf course, driving range, go-cart track, indoor ice arena, tennis courts, a 2200 seat track & field stadium, sports fields, a pond with paddleboats, several picnic sites and a greenhouse. Wildlife lover? Throughout the park, deer, blue birds and coyotes can be spotted. The Etobicoke Olympium provides quality aquatics, gymnastics and aerobics programs. In 2015, Centennial Park Pan Am BMX Centre will be home to BMX cycling competitions at the Toronto Pan Am Games.

Throughout the neighbourhood there is a mixture of both high-rise and low-rise apartment buildings. Most of the houses in the area were built during the 1960s—classic bungalows on large lots with private driveways and a garage or a carport. There are larger detached homes just west of Renforth, many with attractive Tudor designs.

Favourite events through the year include the annual July 1st Toronto Rib Feast, a 15 years plus tradition and annual firework displays on Victoria Day and Canada Day.
